Privacy Policy
Prime Line Power LLC
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Prime Line Power LLC ("Prime Line Power," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information through our website at primelinepower.com, our crew app at crew.primelinepower.com (the "Crew App"), and our SMS text message program, "Prime Line Power Storm Alerts" (together, the "Services").
Prime Line Power is a storm emergency power line restoration contractor working in the Midwest, Northeast, and South. The Crew App is used by our employees, crews, and subcontractors to coordinate storm deployments and complete safety paperwork.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us or that your supervisor enters for you:
- Name and mobile phone number.
- Crew and yard assignment (for example, which crew you are on and which staging yard you report to).
- Job and storm assignments, including deployment dates, locations, and utility or customer work orders.
- DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) submissions, including vehicle and equipment details, defects noted, signatures, and any photos you attach.
- Pre-job briefing (tailboard) submissions, including hazards, crew sign-in, and any photos you attach.
- GPS location, when you provide it. Some forms let you attach your device's location to a DVIR or briefing. We only collect location when you choose to share it on that form. We do not track your location in the background.
- PPE and equipment inventory counts (for example, gloves, sleeves, hard hats, grounds, and tools issued or on hand).
Information collected automatically:
- Device push subscription. If you turn on app notifications, your browser creates a push subscription (a technical address used to deliver notifications to your device). We store it so we can send you alerts.
- Basic logs. Our servers keep basic technical logs such as the date and time of a request, the page or feature used, error messages, and browser or device type.
- IP address hash. We store a one-way hashed (scrambled) version of your IP address instead of the raw address, to help prevent abuse and investigate security problems.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, bank details, or payment card numbers through the Crew App or SMS program.
2. Why we collect it and how we use it
We use this information to:
- Contact crews about storm deployments, mobilization, schedule changes, and safety notices.
- Assign crews and people to yards, jobs, and storms.
- Keep required safety and vehicle inspection records (DVIRs, pre-job briefings) and show compliance to customers, utilities, and regulators such as the U.S. Department of Transportation.
- Track PPE and equipment so crews are properly equipped.
- Send push notifications, SMS text messages, and emails that you have agreed to receive.
- Keep the Services secure, fix problems, and prevent misuse.
- Meet legal, insurance, and contract obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. SMS text messages (Prime Line Power Storm Alerts)
How you opt in. You join our SMS program by checking an unchecked consent checkbox in the Crew App or on a signup form and entering your mobile number. The box is never pre-checked. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of employment or of using the Crew App.
What we send. Storm deployment and mobilization alerts, crew and yard assignments, schedule changes, safety notices, and account messages.
Message frequency varies depending on storm activity. During active storms you may receive several messages a day; in quiet periods you may receive few or none.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opting out and help. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will get one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at mike@primelinepower.com.
No sharing of mobile information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared only with the service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our SMS provider, Twilio), and they may use it only to provide that service to us. This exclusion of text messaging originator opt-in data and consent applies to every category of sharing described in this policy.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run the Services:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Cloudflare – website and app hosting, data storage (including photos), and security.
- Twilio – sending and receiving SMS text messages.
- Resend – sending email.
- Customers and utilities we work for, when required by our contracts (for example, crew rosters, safety briefings, or inspection records for a storm job). This never includes SMS opt-in data or consent.
- Government agencies, regulators, or courts when required by law, or to protect the safety of people or property.
- A buyer or successor if Prime Line Power is involved in a merger, sale, or reorganization, subject to this policy.
We do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with anyone for marketing purposes (see Section 3).
5. How long we keep information
Our company retention policy is:
- Crew records (names, phone numbers, crew/yard, job and storm assignments, PPE and equipment records): while the person works with us, plus 3 years after they leave.
- DVIRs and vehicle inspection records: kept as required by U.S. DOT rules, and for at least 1 year, consistent with 49 CFR 396.11. We may keep them longer if a customer contract, insurance claim, or legal matter requires it.
- Pre-job briefing records: for the same period as crew records, or longer if a customer contract, investigation, or legal matter requires it.
- SMS logs and consent records (opt-ins, opt-outs, and message history): 2 years.
- Push subscriptions: until you turn off notifications, the subscription expires, or your account is removed.
- Basic logs and IP hashes: only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
6. How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected accounts, access limited to people who need it, and reputable hosting providers. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your password private and tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
7. Children
The Services are for working adults. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Ask to see, correct, or delete your information by emailing mike@primelinepower.com. Some records (such as DOT inspection records) must be kept for the required period even if you ask us to delete them.
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Turn off push notifications in your browser or device settings.
- Unsubscribe from email using the link in the email or by contacting us.
Depending on the state where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify users through the Crew App, by email, or by text. Continuing to use the Services after an update means you accept the updated policy.
